Ellee's Hair Design - Meet the team!

Michelle MCKAY

Creative director and leads the Ellee’s hair design training academy alongside Lee Mckay. Michelle has worked alongside some of the best hairdresser’s in Scotland and has competed in the British hairdressing award finals against the best in Britain.

She boast’s a wealth of experience and is keen of continuing her dedication to the industry by leading the team & training the Ellee’s Hair Design staff. She also boast’s her level’s 1,2,3, teaching & assessing qualification’s. Her aim is to provide the team with her knowledge and understanding to provide them with the 5 star training, to then develop onto there career’s.

LEE MCKAY

Salon and managing director has worked and learned his trade in the top salon’s of Aberdeen, including an award winning nationwide franchise where he was taught advance cutting & colouring techniques on top of his hairdressing qualifications. Level’1,2 & 3 plus teaching qualification’s. He lead’s the salons training academy alongside Michelle Mckay where they aim to provide the best training on the market. He is also a Kerastase specialist for over a year. Lee has also competed in the Loreal colour trophy.

CLARE BARCLAY

Passionate senior stylist who continues to learn new techniques and develop in all fields of hair care. Clare likes to showcase her skill’s to the Ellee’s Hair Design team and fellow professional’s. Clare has over 18 years experience in hairdressing. She was a colourist for 2 years in a previous salon but love’s to cut hair as well as creating new look’s for our customer’s. Colouring remains a passion for her.

MURRAY SMITH

Murray is a very highly trained senior stylist. He has been hairdressing for 10 years and is passionate about his work. Hairdressing is not just a job to him, but a keen interest and hobby. He loves to create exiting new haircuts as well as classic cuts. He loves to colour hair as well and already has committed to loreal by saying " Loreal colours are by far the best colours i have ever worked with, making the hair look glossy and shiny" he also wants to enter hair shows and competitions.

KIRSTY REID

One to watch in the future, as the most senior member of the assistant team her role is to show guidance to the younger members of the team and is also the ellees hair design colourist due to the high demand on the stylists. Kirsty will be promoted from colourist to stylist in the near future. already gaining so much qualifications she is eager to learn more. She is also leading the new and exciting express blow dry bar so that clients can have a quick blow dry after a hard working day. check out our salon prices today.

KAYLEIGH ROBERTSON

Kayleigh is back in hairdressing to show she is passionate and hungry to succeed. also a senior member of the assistant team her role is to show guidance to the younger member of staff and help out with advance colouring methods along with the stylists. She is also well on her way to be promoted to a stylist in the future. She has also gained valuable experience and qualifications already.
